Three questions before departure

Ask how many people are in the group, how rooms are arranged and how much time is spent travelling. Then check the walking difficulty and any separate costs. Answers should be specific to the departure you are considering. If the programme is still being formed, ask for confirmed dates and terms before committing.

The first day can be simple

People often take time to warm up to one another. A clear meeting point, organiser contact, simple day plan and time to eat help more than elaborate icebreakers. A day trip or weekend is an easy first format. It lets you discover whether group travel suits you without putting too much pressure on one journey.

Keep some time for yourself

Arriving solo does not mean staying with the group every moment. A clear programme shows which parts are shared and where there is room for coffee, a call home or a quiet city walk. If a private room or different pace matters, say so early. Those details belong in the planning conversation before payment.
