Cappadocia is as much about walking between rock formations as watching balloons. Link valleys, an underground city and small towns. A balloon flight is optional and weather dependent.

Cappadocia is worthwhile even without a balloon flight: valleys, cave settlements and underground cities can fill several days. Flights depend on weather and remain an optional extra. A viewpoint is another way to greet dawn. Walks should account for sun, dust and trail length.
